"A Little Night Music" Musical Searching For Girl

About the project: "A Little Night Music" is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. Inspired by the 1955 Ingmar Bergman film, Smiles of a Summer Night, it involves the romantic lives of several couples. Its title is a literal English translation of the German name for Mozart's Serenade No. 13, K. 525, Eine kleine Nachtmusik. The musical includes the popular song "Send In the Clowns", written for Glynis Johns. Additional info: Please arrive 15-minutes prior to your scheduled time to complete an audition form. No Equity contracts are available for this show. Callbacks, if necessary, will occur the afternoon of Saturday, December 13. Rehearsals will begin the week of December 29. The show runs February 20 - March 7. Those auditioning should: Plan to attend only one day of auditions. - Be familiar with the show and its music, language, and themes. - Prepare two one-minute, contrasting songs (one up-tempo, one ballad) in the style of the show. Pieces by Sondheim are encouraged but not required. You may sing from the show. - Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder.
