Young Boys Needed for "Dissonance" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking two boys ages 8-11 to portray roles in "Dissonance" film. Please, see the details below. About the project: When a young man visits his childhood friend abroad, their reunion exposes the quiet fracture between who they were and who they've become. Rate: Union (TBC). TBD pending budget finalization. Additional information: SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S) March 2026. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE LOCATION(S) Vancouver. SUBMISSION DEADLINE November 21, 2025. When applying, please submit your head shot, demo reel, and (if applicable) your IMDb page or personal website. Selected applicants will receive sides from the script for the first round of auditions via self-tape. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a second round, which will include a chemistry read. Non speaking role for small flashback scenes of lead character. Curious, expressive, and sensitive. His face should carry innocence but with an undertone of awareness beyond his age. The audience needs to feel his empathy and quiet fear in the silence. Note: Age range is flexible — looking for an actor who can believably appear around 8–11 on screen, not necessarily be that exact age.
ADDITIONAL CHARACTER. Non-Speaking. Non speaking role for small flashback scenes of lead character's best friend. Gentle, shy, and visibly affected by his environment. Should be able to portray both fear and trust in quick transitions. Eyes do most of the storytelling here. Note: Age range is flexible —looking for an actor who can believably appear around 8–11 on screen, not necessarily be that exact age.
