Audition for "Into the Woods". Looking for boys and girls. Parental consent would be required for minors. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This pinnacle of the American musical theatre canon first appeared on Broadway in 1987, and has gone on to become one of Sondheim’s most-beloved and most-produced musicals. Mashing up the storylines and themes of multiple Brothers Grimm fairy tales – such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and others, the cast delves into humor and poignancy as each story must go “Into the Woods” to find its resolution. Additional info: WHAT TO KNOW/PREPARE - No reservations are needed. Arrive anytime within the audition window. - For most roles, please prepare a song excerpt in the style of the show that shows off your acting and vocal range. Please have an accompaniment track ready, a Bluetooth speaker will be provided. REHEARSALS: Sundays, 2-5 Tuesdays, 7-9 Wednesdays, 7-9 (Introductions/table read / first rehearsal will be Wednesday, July 30, probably starting early, conflicts permitting.)
