Looking to Cast Teenagers for "Hairspray" Show

All auditioning should be at least 16 years of age or older at the time of rehearsals beginning unless auditioning for the role of Little Inez (12+). Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: It's 1962 in Baltimore, and the lovable plus-size teen, Tracy Turnblad, has only one desire: to dance on the popular "Corny Collins Show." When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from a social outcast to a sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob, and integrate a TV network – all without denting her 'do! Rate: This is a non-Equity, non-paying production. Additional info: If under the age of 18, a parent must be onsite at time of audition. All roles are open. Prepare 32 bars from a Broadway show of your choice that demonstrates your vocal range. Bring sheet music or a track. An accompanist and bluetooth speaker will be provided to accommodate either option. No acapella singing will be accepted! The dance call will be during callbacks if invited. Please provide all potential conflicts for rehearsals starting February 8th. Please refrain from auditioning if you have any conflicts from April 21 (the day after Easter) through the end of the run on May 17. The set strike is Sunday, May 18th, and is mandatory for all involved.
