Kid Actors Needed for "The Jungle Book" Show

Performers ages 6 and up are invited to audition for "The Jungle Book" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This classic story is brought to the stage through the exciting adventures of the young boy, Mowgli. The play offers fun and challenging acting opportunities for young and older actors as it introduces an array of creatures who inhabit the jungle. Interspersed with the Mowgli tale is the intriguing story of a young Rudyard Kipling, who is sent from his home in Bombay to a British boarding school where he encounters his own “jungle”. Filled with exciting fast-paced action, bold movement and dance, the play highlights the struggle of good versus evil, the importance of friendship and loyalty, and other values required for surviving the “law of the jungle”! Additional info: There will be callbacks on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 7-9:45 pm. Rehearsals will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7 pm-9:30 pm, beginning Monday, January 13, 2025, to Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St Andrew’s Church in Mundelein. Not all actors will be called for every rehearsal and every effort will be made to release the school-age actors as early as possible. "The Jungle Book" will be performed on the Mundelein High School Theatre stage on Friday, March 28, 2025, and Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 7 pm, with matinees at 2 pm on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30.
