Young Talent Wanted for "The Addams Family" School Edition

Seeking students in grades 7-12 for "The Addams Family" School Edition. Please see the details below. About the project: THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Additional info: Auditions will be open to 7th-12th grade (Elgin students). Students outside of Elgin Public Schools (9th-12th grade) are welcome to audition as well. MANDATORY Parent/student meeting will start at 6 pm in the PAC lobby and auditions will follow at 6:15 pm. Please bring your calendar and be prepared to fill out a conflict sheet, and audition sheet, and turn in a performance resume, if applicable. Those auditioning should prepare a song in the style of the show (not a song from the show). The audition should include 32 bars of accompaniment music (no backup vocals), approximately 60-90 seconds. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided, but if you’d like to bring your own speaker, you may.
