About the project: This is the final piece of a 7-part anthology series covering the stages of grief- this film’s stage is acceptance. Taking place in the mid-1990s, “To Be an Astronaut” features a young girl named Lucy as she learns to navigate the world after her lifelong dream of becoming an astronaut is shattered by her diagnosis of type one Diabetes. Additional info: This will be filmed October 25-27th in North Central Arkansas near Bull Shoals Lake. There will be an additional pickup day on a separate weekend. For those applying for Lucy’s role: Please note that the role involves a quick scene where the character floats on her back in an indoor pool (lifeguards will be present).
