"The SpongeBob Musical" Needs Teen Performers
In need of performers who are 17 years old and above for "The SpongeBob Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: -Prepare part of a song: Prepare 16-32 bars of any upbeat contemporary musical theatre song. There are many genres of songs represented in the show, sing something that showcases you and your talent. You may sing a song from the show. If you will only accept a specific role, it is recommended you choose a relevant song from the show. -Sides: If auditioning for a lead or supporting character, please audition using the character’s voice from the hit Television show. Actors may be asked to read a portion of the script. -Music Tracks: Bring a track on your phone to connect to our Bluetooth speaker. No acapella auditions please. -Dance. Consider wearing/bringing appropriate attire & shoes. Callbacks December 2, 2023, 10:00 am. It will be performed live at the Amoss Theatre, March 8-10, 2024. Performances take place Friday 7:00 PM – Sat 2 & 7:00 PM and Sun 2:00 PM. Rehearsals will start in January 2024. Rehearsals will typically be held Mon-Thurs with occasional Saturdays. The hero of our story. Loves their community more than anything in the world and will do anything for them. SpongeBob is sincere, positive, sometimes a bit naïve, but always determined to spread joy wherever they go. Has more strength than they realize.
SpongeBob’s BFF, Patrick is always up for SpongeBob’s adventures but struggles to find the confidence to strike out on their own. Can be gullible, but is strong-willed and fiercely loyal.
Smart, quick-witted, energetic and fierce. Sandy is a scientist who has a passion for karate and knows their own worth. Their confidence and brains are the key to saving Bikini Bottom.
Squidward is always having a bad day, especially when SpongeBob’s around. Squidward’s secret ambition is to become a concert clarinetist, and they dream of being in the spotlight and making Mama proud. Tap skills desired.
Krabs’ priorities, in order, are: Money, keeping the Secret Formula safe, Money, his daughter Pearl, and Money. He sees Bikini Bottom’s peril as an opportunity to make (you guessed it) more MONEY!
Power hungry and always scheming. Plankton has a size complex because they’re about one inch tall. Rapping skills desired.
