Kids Wanted for “Disney Beauty and the Beast" Show

Performers aged 7+ needed for “Disney Beauty and the Beast" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Additional info: Sunday, April 30th, 2:00 p.m. – 5 p.m. for callbacks as needed. July 14 – July 23. You will be asked to fill out an audition form. You may attach a resume and picture if you wish (it is not required). Please bring a calendar that includes conflicts. You will have your picture taken and a number will be assigned to you. Auditions will consist of a music audition and (if you are auditioning for a speaking role) a cold reading audition. Please prepare a song excerpt (approx. 1-2 minutes) for your music audition. Music should be Disney, Broadway, or Jazz Standard style, but NOT a song from Beauty and the Beast. You may bring your phone with lyrics, a CD, or sheet music for accompanist. The Director requests that you do not sing a capella. The final cast list will be sent via email by Wednesday night, May 3rd. REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be held Friday evenings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons. ALL cast members MUST attend the first rehearsal to receive your materials, take costume measurements, and complete any paperwork. If you are interested, please see the attachment and apply.
