"Elephant & Piggie's We Are In A Play!" is looking for teenagers. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Ripped from the pages of Mo Willems' beloved, award-winning, best-selling children's books, Gerald and Piggie take to the stage in a rollicking adventure that is perfect for young audiences. Gerald and Piggie are best, best, "best" (a word Gerald and Piggie made up that means "very best") friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She's even happier and more excited than usual. That's because she and Gerald are invited to a party hosted by the Squirrels, three singing squirrels who love to have a good time. And so begins a day when anything is possible. Rate: $100 stipend. Additional info: Material to Prepare: 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show that shows your voice at its best. Music must be in the key you plan to sing in. Please be sure the music is in a book or double-sided in a 3-ring binder. Callbacks: December 15; 7:30 pm-10 pm. Rehearsals will be held in Des Plaines between December 18 and February 4 before moving to the performance space in Des Plaines on February 5 with a break for the holidays between December 22 and January 2. Performances are at Prairie Lakes Theater on Saturdays February 11, 18, 25, and March 5 at 11 am and 1 pm; Sundays February 12, 19, 26, and March 5 at 11 am; and Thursdays February 23 and March 2 at 7:30 pm.
