In Search of Teen Talent for "Strictly Platonic" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Directors are currently in need of teens ages 16+ to play roles in the "Strictly Platonic" film. Please, see more details below. About the project: STORYLINE: This short musical comedy takes place during the tech rehearsal for their last high school musical, Roman attempts to get his best friend Julie to break up with her boyfriend so that he can confess his love for her. Rate: Non-Union, Non-Paid, Student Short Thesis Film. Additional information: Location: GTA Area. Shoot Dates: December 16th-19th. Musical Theatre/Singing/Dancing experience is an asset! Transportation/gas expenses will be fully covered and meals will be provided. A completed copy of the film as well as the actor's custom choice of scenes for a reel will be given upon completion also. (Please note that the production is strictly adhering to all COVID-19 safety rules and guidelines set by the Province of Ontario and York University. All actors and crew must be vaccinated). When applying, please submit headshots and a demo reel/sample of past work to receive the sides for your Self-Tape. All self-tapes are due by DECEMBER 6th at 11:59 PM EST. Selected actors will be asked contacted shortly after self-tapes are reviewed for virtual callbacks.

Principal. Julie is funny and appears very independent. She does things because they make her happy and tries not to consider what other people think about her.
PRINCIPAL. New Kid is the latest addition to the friend group but gets intergraded into the fold quickly. He comes across as the most socially awkward but is likely the wisest one of them all.
PRINCIPAL. Tucker is Julie's boyfriend. He is the lead in their school show so he is very charismatic and outgoing. Although him and Julie have been together most of high school, Tucker is secretly cheating on Julie.
