"Gypsy" Production Seeks Young Performers

About the project: Based on the 1957 memoirs of striptease artist Gypsy Rose Lee focuses on her mother, Rose, whose name has become synonymous with “the ultimate show business mother.” The brassy musical features the classic songs Everything’s Coming Up Roses, Together Wherever We Go and Let Me Entertain You. Theater critic Clive Barnes wrote that “Gypsy is one of the best of musicals…” and described Rose as “one of the few truly complex characters in the American musical.” Rate: All roles are unpaid/volunteer. Additional info: Production dates are February 16th - March 5th, 2023. Please bring sheet music, sing from the score, or a Bluetooth-accessible track. Also, bring a current headshot and resume if you have them. Be prepared to provide any conflicts you might have during the rehearsal period. Rehearsals are usually Monday - Thursday 7-10 pm as well as rehearsals on Sundays which can be a double rehearsal on that day. If you are interested please apply.

Baby June years later pretty, talented, and is frustrated with Rose’s domination. Must be a good dancer, baton twirling and splits are a must. Mezzo-Soprano.
