"The Giver" Show Needs Tweens & Teens

Looking for performers ages 10-18 years old for "The Giver" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: Jonas’ world is perfect. Everything is under control and safe. There is no war or fear or pain. There are also no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the community. But when Jonas turns 12, he is chosen for special training from The Giver-to receive and keep the memories of the community. The Giver is the only person who holds the memories of real pain and real joy. Now Jonas will learn the truth about life and the hypocrisy of his utopian world. Through this astonishing and moving adaptation, discover what it means to grow up, to grow wise, and to take control of your own destiny. Additional info: There will be cold read sides from the script based on type. No additional materials are required. All auditioning must be fully up to date on vaccinations for COVID-19 in order to be considered for a role. Rehearsal schedules are generally two or three evenings during the week and a weekend afternoon. All cast members are expected for all performances, with no exception since the company does not cast understudies. Performance Schedule: Tech week: January 14th-18th, 2023. Performances: Thursday, January 19th, and Friday, January 20th at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 21st at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22nd at 2:00 p.m. with a strike to follow If interested, please apply.
