Callbacks will be on WEDNESDAY, December 7, 4-5:00 pm. For the audition, please remember the following: Look nice! It shows the director that you care. Monologue Choice for first auditions MUST be memorized! Use lots of expression in your acting and make STRONG choices. This will require you to do some research as to the context of your monologue (what has happened to your character, what is his/her motivation, what is his/her mood). The directors will be judging you on how you bring these classic characters to life in a new way while preserving their integrity. Be ready to try your best with any suggestion from the director. You want to show the director how "DIRECTABLE" you are. Talk clearly and loudly enough to be heard. Sometimes actors talk too fast or too softly when they are nervous. Don't let this happen to you! Practice being loud enough and speaking with good diction. Have fun! Keep a good attitude while auditioning. But remember, do not enter the room during an audition. First auditions are private, but if necessary, they may be done in groups of three to four. Show everyone the respect and attention they deserve during their audition. Once your first audition is completed, you are free to leave. For callbacks, plan to stay the whole time. Preparing for your Audition. A strong, street- wise aspiring singer who gets caught up with the wrong crowd. When she witnesses a crime involving her ex-boyfriend, she is put in witness protection – as a nun! To put it frankly, a complete jerk. He’s not only mean and dishonest, he’s also dangerous – and he’s got Deloris on his radar. No solo singing.

A thug in Curtis’s group. Sort of silly and the audience is meant to have a few laughs at his expense.
The strong, silent type who definitely leans into his role as the muscle of the group. Third member of the trio with Joey and TJ.
One of Curtis’s thugs and, unfortunately, takes the fall for being a police informant.
The first person to talk to Deloris about Ernie’s murder.

Devoted leader of the convent. Her church and her sisters come before all else – and she’s not afraid to voice her opinion. Mother Superior means well and eventually comes around regarding Deloris. Mother Superior is a major role. Vocal range top: D5 Vocal range bottom: A3
The charming spiritual leader of the Queen of Angels Cathedral. His bottom line is to save their church, and hemwill do anything to support the bottom line.

A postulant and the youngest of the abbey’s inhabitants. Shy, soft- spoken, and a bit of a wallflower, she enjoys being a nun, but her friendship with Deloris lets her truly find her voice. Vocal range top: E5 Vocal range bottom: A3
One of the older nuns at the convent, and she leads the choir. She is rather deadpan and not particularly welcoming to Deloris at first, though Deloris’s love of music eventually wins her over. Vocal range top: C5 Vocal range bottom: G3
A nun who definitely exists in her own world. This nun has some wonderful stand-out moments, which include delivering an excellent karate chop.
